Cover & New Details Revealed For The Novel Star Wars: Aftermath

When the new line of books titled “Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens” was announced last week, one of the books announced I’m sure fans were most excited about was a new novel titled “Star Wars: Aftermath,” the first cannon novel to take place after the events of “Return of the Jedi.”

Well today StarWars.com has revealed some new info about the book, including the cover with the great tagline, “The War Is Not Over”!

“Star Wars: Aftermath is the first of a new trilogy of novels that will take place after “Return of the Jedi,” and bridge the gap to “The Force Awakens.” It will be written by Chuck Wendig with a planned September release, and is said to feature a brand new new cast of characters, as well as a fan favorite from the previous movies. Here is the description of the book from StarWars.com:

The second Death Star has been destroyed. Rumors are flying that the Emperor and his enforcer, Darth Vader, are dead. A new government is forming to replace the Empire. But the galaxy is a big place, and the fallout of this cataclysm will affect different worlds in different ways. Does everyone accept the fall of Imperial rule? Has everyone even heard the life-altering news? What rushes in to fill the vacuum the Empire has left? And who will try to stop them?

There’s already a lot to be excited about with “Star Wars” novels this year, and “Star Wars: Aftermath” just adds to that excitement! To finally get some in cannon stories about the state of the galaxy after the Battle of Endor  is awesome, as we will be getting a whole new glimpse into an era of “Star Wars” that has endless possibilities. Not to mention it will no doubt get us more pumped for “The Force Awakens” as we read it with only three months to go before the movie comes out!
