It’s official. We’ll finally be able to watch “The Force Awakens” anytime we want in the comfort of our homes or on the road beginning April 1st! StarWars.com has announced that “The Force Awakens” will be releasing on Digital HD Friday, April 1st, and then on Blu-ray Tuesday, April 5th, with what looks like some great special features.

Packaged with the film is a galaxy of bonus content that will take fans inside the making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including an in-depth documentary, featurettes, and more. This sounds like the home release I was hoping for with “The Force Awakens.” The special features sound and look great, and I love the covers for the Blu-rays. My tradition of buying multiple copies of the same “Star Wars” movie looks like it will continue, as I really want to get all the different store exclusives because the covers look so cool!
