Throwing out the potential spoiler warning right away here, as an actor who’s been in previous “Star Wars” films hinted today that he will be returning to the franchise in “Rogue One.”
Potential Spoilers Below:
It looks like we’ll be seeing another familiar “Star Wars” character make a small appearance in “Rogue One,” as actor Jimmy Smits, who played Senator Bail Organa in “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith,” made some interesting comments while doing an interview on The Talk earlier today. When asked about being in “Rogue One,” Smits said:
“Can you say the word cameo? “Can you say the words small part?”
While there has been speculation that Bail Organa might appear in in “Rogue One,” especially since the sizzle reel came out, I think it’s a pretty safe bet now that he will have a small role in the film after these comments. It makes perfect sense to have him in this movie considering when it takes place in the timeline, as we know he had a role to play in Princess Leia’s mission to deliver the Death Star plans, so I’m really glad we’ll probably see more of how he factored into that mission.
You can check out a video of that interview below, where he makes those comments right at the beginning of the interview.
