Last week we reported about “Star Wars” characters coming to the next Disney Infinity game due to a leaked image that came out, but today Disney Infinity 3.0 has officially been announced over at Game Informer as their June cover issue, and it will in fact include a number of “Star Wars” content!
Disney Infinity 3.0 will feature Star Wars content from both the Clone Wars era and the classic trilogy era, and will features such playable characters as Anakin and Ahsoka in Twilight of the Republic pack-in playset, and will feature both land and space battles, as well as melee combat. Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Darth Maul will also be playable as separate figures. The classic trilogy playset will be called Rise Against the Empire, where you will be able to play as Luke and Leia tangle in such planets as Yavin, Hoth and Tatooine. Han Solo, Chewbacca and Darth Vader will the figures that are sold separately for this era of “Star Wars.” The Game Informer article also reveals that the Star Wars characters can cross over between the different Star Wars playsets.
