Today Marvel Comics announced that it will be bringing some classic “Star Wars” comics to its “Epic Collection” format, in a new line called, “Star Wars Legends Epic Collection,” beginning with “The Empire Vol. 1.” Below are the details about the first volume of “Star Wars Legends Epic Collection” from StarWars.com, including which specific comics will be included in the collection.
Let the dark times begin! Marvel welcomes Star Wars to the Epic Collection program, with this first volume of a series focusing on the years that follow Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith! After the end of the Clone Wars, the Republic has fallen and Palpatine exerts his ruthless grip on his new Galactic Empire. No word on a release date yet, but this sounds like a great way for fans who might of missed these stories to catch up and collect them, as I think putting out different volumes of this collection based on the era of the different books is a great way for fans to read these stories. And “The Empire vol. 1” already has some great books included in it’s collection!
