Continuing their “Rogue One” coverage today, Entertainment Weekly has revealed just how much we will see of Mon Mothma in the film.
While we got our first look at Mon Mothma in the “Rogue One” teaser trailer, it wasn’t yet known if that would be her only scene in the movie, or if she will play a larger role. Well thankfully, Entertainment Weekly has learned that Mon Mothma will have a “significantly larger” role than she did in “Return of the Jedi.”
Here is what Kathleen Kennedy had to say about Mon Mothma’s significant role in “Rogue One” to Entertainment Weekly:
“We actually see quite a bit of her. The Rebel alliance is in disarray. Pretty panicked. Up against it. And she is trying the best she can to provide the leadership, in amongst a wide variety of Rebel soldiers that have very differing opinions as to what to do.”
Definitely glad to hear Mon Mothma will have a large role in “Rogue One.” As she is one of those “Star Wars” characters that’s so important to the story, but we don’t see very much of her in the the films.
