“Rogue One” is a film that has lots of great special effects, but probably ILM’s most impressive feat was bringing Tarkin and a young Princess Leia into the movie using CG effects. How exactly was that done? Well in a segment on last night’s “Nightline,” we get an awesome inside look at the process ILM used to bring those two characters back on the big screen, as well as an interview with the mastermind behind it all, John Knoll.

This was a very cool inside look at how those effects were done, and I can’t wait for hopefully more of an in depth look those and other effects in the film on the Blu-ray special features.
