The nominations for the 90th Academy Awards were announced today, and “The Last Jedi” has received four of those nominations in the usual categories it has received nominations in before:
- Best Original Score – John Williams
- Best Visual Effects – Ben Morris, Mike Mulholland, Chris Corbould, and Neal Scanlan
- Best Sound Editing – Matthew Wood and Ren Klyce
- Best Sound Mixing – Stuart Wilson, Ren Klyce, David Parker, and Michael Semanick
It’s always great to see a “Star Wars” film get nominated for several Oscar awards, but I hopefully this will be a year where they finally take some awards home!
You can see if “The Last Jedi” wins any of these awards when the 90th Academy Awards airs on March 4th, 2018.
