As April is about to come to a close, and we enter the month of when Episode VII starts shooting, it’s only a matter of time now before we get the casting announcement for the movie. Well before we get that official announcement, Deadline is reporting some new information on which four actors may have gotten the coveted new roles for the movie, as well as a rumored table reading with the whole main cast tomorrow, and how big of a role Harrison Ford will have in EpisodeVII. Here is the story from Deadline:
I’m hearing that Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac is in line for a major role, as is Adam Driver and Attack the Block’s John Boyega, both of whom have been rumored. There is also a young girl, and that might be Maisie Richardson-Sellers, an Oxford-trained actress whose casting has been rumored in recent weeks. The new cast members will join returning Star Wars alums Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. The big surprise, I’m told, is that Ford has a gigantic role in the first of the next three films. Disney hasn’t been commenting on any of this, and today’s no different. Stay tuned.
Could this actually be the cast that will be in Episode VII? We wont know for sure until we get the official announcement from Lucasfilm and Disney, so this should still be treated as a rumor. But given how close we’re getting to principle photography beginning, and how Deadline is a reputable source, I wouldn’t be too surprised if this report ends up being true.
