A bit of cool and sad news to report, as the official Disney Parks Blog has updated with some new information regarding Season of the Force for Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World, as well as for the future of Star Wars Weekends.
First the good news. Season of the Force will begin at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 1st, where one of the new attractions will be a new sequence from “The Force Awakens” added to the Star Tours ride, and we now officially now what that new addition will be. Like most people speculated, the new sequence for Star Tours will be the race through Jakku with the Millennium Falcon, where Disney Parks Blog said that during the opening months, Disney will make sure that everyone who rides Star Tours will experience the new sequence. And better yet, you can check out a short preview of the new sequence in the video above!
And now for the bad news. Disney Parks Blog also revealed that because of construction starting on the new “Star Wars Land” next year, Star Wars Weekends will be ending. While it’s a bit of a bummer that a long lasting “Star Wars” event at Disney World will be coming to an end, the bright future of what’s coming next for “Star Wars” at Disney Parks will help ease the pain of disappointment.
