EA has provided some new details on future updates coming to Star Wars Battlefront in the very near future, including the release date for the much anticipated Death Star DLC.
First up, coming in just six days on July 20th, a new single player mode called Skirmish will be available, giving players the ability to play modes such as Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron offline. We will be able to play those modes against bots either solo, or with a friend via split screen co-op.
The big reveal though, and what I’m most excited for, is that the Death Star DLC pack will be available in early September, and is confirmed to have both ground and space maps. Of course it will also include new weapons, Star Cards, and two new hero characters, which EA teases that one of them is a larger-than-life character that we’ve been patiently waiting for. I think it’s pretty safe to assume we will finally be able to play as Chewie in Star Wars Battlefront this September!
Definitely glad to know that the Death Star DLC pack will be out this September, and it’s cool that finally more single player options will be available next week. But stay tuned for more cool Star Wars Battlefront reveals this weekend, as EA promises more will be shown from the Death Star DLC at Celebration Europe during the “EA Star Wars Panel” livestream on Saturday, July 16!
