It’s a very sad day today, as Carrie Fisher has passed away at the age of 60 after suffering a heart attack. Here is the statement from the family spokesman Simon Halls:
“It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning.”
“She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”
This is going to be tough to accept. For me, and I know many other “Star Wars” fans, we have known Carrie Fisher for as long as we can remember with her role as Princes Leia, and it feels like we lost a personal friend. We’re going to miss you Carrie.
