EA has detailed the newest update coming to Star Wars Battlefront II later this month on August 29th, including our first look at some new Clone Trooper appearances!
Here is the breakdown of some of the big updates coming to Star Wars Battlefront II from the official Battlefront II Community Forums:
Clone Trooper Appearances-
Right now there are only going to be two new Clone Trooper appearances coming in this update, but we know more will be on the way in the future thanks to the Battlefront II Roadmap that was released a few months ago. But in this update, we will be getting new Clone Trooper armor of the 41st Elite Corps, and the The 327th Star Corps. The price for these new Clone Trooper Appearances will be 20,000 credits, or 500 Crystals, and will be available for the Assault, Heavy, and Specialist classes. There will also be a bundle available to purchase the new appearances for all three classes at 40,000 credits.
Naboo Palace Hanger Map-
Due to it being a fan favorite, the the Naboo Palace Hanger map will now be made available to play on both Blast and Custom Arcade.
Ewok Hunt Goes Permanent –
While previously being a mode that was only available for a limited time, Ewok Hunt will now be a permanent game mode to choose from at any time.
Prequel Era Maps-
Prequel Era maps will now be a new tile to choose from in the Home Menu section when playing Galactic Assault, which will make for faster matchmaking into Prequel Era maps. The post on the forums say that “by selecting that tile, you can prioritize matchmaking for Clone Wars – era maps. However, if a match is not currently running on any of those maps, you will get to play into any other Galactic Assault map.”
Those are some of the big updates coming to Star Wars Battlefront II later this month, but you can check out the full breakdown of the update over at the Battlefront II Community Forums, which include new hero prices, and various bug fixes and improvements.
