As if the announcement of a new film trilogy wasn’t enough excitement for one day, Disney CEO Bob Iger also revealed today that a live-action “Star Wars” TV series is coming to their new streaming service that launches in 2019!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bob Iger made this announcement during a quarterly earnings call with investors today.
No other details were provided about the series other than it will be on Disney’s new streaming service, but a TV series has long been rumored since Disney first acquired Lucasfilm, so it’s great to hear that one is officially in development.
