First Trailer & Details For Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

The “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” panel at Celebration Chicago just wrapped up, and we finally got our first trailer and details for the upcoming game from Respawn Entertainment!

The trailer introduces us to the game’s main protagonist, a new character named Cal Kestis , who is a former Jedi Padawan trying to make a new life for himself after Order 66 on the planet Bracca, but soon finds himself on the run from the Empire and Inquisitors. It was announced at the panel that Cal is being portrayed by actor Cameron Monaghan, probably best known for his role as Jerome & Jeremiah Valeska, aka the Joker on “Gotham.”

Joining Cal on his adventure will be a new droid named BD-1, and another former Jedi named Cere. What’s cool about the new droid BD-1, is that it was revealed that non-other than the sound master himself Ben Burt will be voicing the droid, which is really cool!

Another aspect of the game I’m really excited about, is how it will have a strong connection with the recent Darth Vader comic series by Charles Soule, as Cal will be going up against the Second Sister Inquistor, and the very cool looking Purge Troopers, who both made their debuts in that comic series, and look awesome in the game!

“Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be a 3rd-person action game, with the focus being on melee combat, lightsaber combat, and Force powers. The game will be single-player only, and the point of no micro-transactions was really being stressed at the panel.

It was also announced that “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” will release this year on November 15th, on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Like when “Star Wars Battlefront II” got revealed at Celebration Orlando in 2017, the focus today on “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” was mainly about the story and main protagonist Cal, and not too much about it’s gameplay. That aspect of the game will more than likely be fully unveiled at E3 later this year.

While the story in “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” isn’t something we really haven’t seen before, I’m still really excited for the game. I thought the trailer was really cool in setting up Cal’s story and what he will be going through, and I love that an Inquisitor and the Purge Troopers from the Darth Vader comic will be in the game.

Stay tuned for more details about “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” in the coming months, and through out the lead up to it’s November 15th release date!
