Lucasfilm has just recently launched a brand new redesigned website for their company, and in the section of the site titled Production, there is a new production photo which appears to show a production meeting for Episode VII that includes some familiar crew members such as, Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, production designer Rick Carter, SVP of technology Kim Libreri, SVP of Physical Production Jason McGatlin, and Senior Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll.
But in the background of the photo, you’ll notice that there are some concept images behind Kathleen Kennedy and Rick Carter, and one of those images look to be of a very familiar ship. Yes, it does look like the Millennium Falcon is indeed in one of those images, and the image to the right of it looks to show some landscape of a planet. While we can’t really confirm if those images are indeed for Episode VII, it does make sense that they very well could be, as a lot of the big names who are part of the crew for Episode VII are present in that photo, and it is an image of the Falcon that does not look familiar.
Regardless of if those images in the background are concept art for Episode VII or not, it is cool to get an inside look at a production meeting with the new team in charge of the future Star Wars movies. Though it does still feel weird not to see George Lucas present.
The new official Lucasfilm site is one we’ll definitely keep an eye on, as you never know just what new photos and info may show up there!
