Some big news has just dropped! StarWars.com has just announced that Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, directors of “The LEGO Movie,” will direct the second “Star Wars Anthology” film! But that’s not all. It was also announced that the second “Star Wars Anthology” film will indeed be about a young Han Solo, with the screenplay being written by Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon Kasdan. The movie will be released on May 25th, 2018, and will be about how a young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel we all know and love from the original trilogy.

We’ve heard rumors about a young Han Solo film for so long now, so it’s great to finally have it confirmed with some very talented people working on it. There have also been rumors about Boba Fett being in the second Anthology film, and that maybe Boba and Han will appear in the same movie. So while we got this announcement, there’s still a lot to speculate about with it’s story, and who else may appear in it. But until we do get more information on it, this is just another Star Wars project to be very excited about!
