In a new Interview with MTV, J.J. Abrams answers some fun non-serious yes or no questions about “The Force Awakens,” but in the interview, J.J. does reveal that Midi-Chlorians will not be mentioned in the film.
This doesn’t come as a huge surprise to me, as we know they’re putting a lot of focus on capturing the feel of the original trilogy, so I wasn’t expecting them to mention one of the prequel trilogy’s more controversial aspects amongst fans.
But that doesn’t mean they no longer exists in the Star Wars universe. They weren’t mentioned at all in the original trilogy, and that did not hurt the story of the overall Star Wars saga when you watch all six films, and I’m expecting it to be the same when we watch the new trilogy.
Be sure to check out the interview in the video above, as J.J. has some fun answers for those questions!
