Empire has continued their “The Force Awakens” coverage today with a short interview with Mark Hamill, where of course he doesn’t say much about Luke in Episode VII, but does talk about how filming a new “Star Wars” movie took him back to when he first filmed “A New Hope.”
You can check out what Mark Hamill told Empire below from the article they posted:
There’s lots of surprises in this movie”, Hamill told Empire. “You’re going to love it.”
“It reminded me of when I was in Tunisia on the salt flats [shooting the first Star Wars]. If you could get into your own mind and shut out the crew and look at the horizon, you really felt like you were in a galaxy far, far away. I had that same wave of emotion happen to me when I was on Skellig Michael in Ireland. I wasn’t anticipating it.”
Not much from Mark Hamill here, but it’s still very cool to hear him say that the same feeling he had of being transported into the “Star Wars” galaxy came back to him while filming at Skellig Michael.
