Something I’ve been waiting for is finally happening. Captain Phasma will be getting her own comic mini-series and novel later this year!
At Celebration Orlando today, it was announced that Captain Phasma will be getting a 4 issue comic mini-series from Marvel that will tell the story of how she survived the destruction of Starkiller Base. It will be written by Kelly Thompson with art by Marco Checchetto, and will be released in September as part of Lucasfilm’s “Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi ” publishing program.
Also part of the upcoming “Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi ” September releases, is a new novel from Del Rey about Captain Phasma simply titled, “Phasma.” It will be written by Delilah S. Dawson, and will set the stage for when we see Captain Phasma again in “The Last Jedi.”
This is great news for someone like me who is still a big fan of the character despite her lack of screen time in “The Force Awakens,” and absolutely cant wait to read these new stories about her!
