One of our most anticipated panels of Celebration Orland was the Star Wars Battlefront II panel, and boy did it deliver!
Not only did we get an awesome brand new trailer, which you can check out in the video above, but we also learned more about the single player campaign, and the multiplayer.
The single player campaign will be about an elite Imperial squadron called Inferno Squad, who we first heard about in an announcement a few months ago for a new novel coming out that has now been re-titled to “Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad,” and will come out on July 25th. The single player campaign will start off right at the battle of Endor, and up until the events of “The Force Awakens.” And not only will you play as Inferno Squad in single player, but it was revealed that we will also get to play as Luke, Kylo Ren, and other legacy characters yet to be revealed.
On the multiplayer side of things, we got the announcement we’ve all been waiting for. It will have characters and maps from all eras, including the prequels! There was concept art shown of Clone Troopers fighting on Kamino, and it looked awesome! Other new additions to the multiplayer will be character classes and character upgrades, as well as space battles being a big part of multiplayer this time around.
It was also announced that the pre-order bonuses for the game will be centered around “The Last Jedi,” where those who pre-order it will get Episode VIII costumes for Rey and Kylo Ren, new designs of TIE Fighters, and of the Millennium Falcon from the film.
EA really listened to us fans on what we wanted to see in the sequel of Star Wars Battlefront, and I couldn’t be more excited for it now. Star Wars Battlefront II will be released on November 17th, and absolutely can’t wait to play every aspect of it!
