EA has at long last revealed the first bit of details of the second of season coming to Star Wars Battlefront II, Han Solo.
While the there will be content coming in June based on “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” the first bit of content coming on May 16th will be based on the original trilogy, including the return of a map from the first Battlefront game.
Here are all the details on the first release of the Han Solo season from EA:
Jabba’s Palace Returns-
The Jabba’s Palace map from the first Battlefront returns in the Han Solo season, and will be available to play in the modes Blast, Hero Showdown, or Heroes vs. Villains.
New Costumes-
Two new costumes will be available this season as well, and will be from “Return of the Jedi” where you can play as Lando in his Skiff Guard disguise, and as Princess Leia in her bounty hunter Boushh’s gear that will feature a brand-new voice-over.
New Hero Showdown Mode-
A new round-based elimination mode is also coming in the Han Solo season, where players will choose two characters in two-on-two Heroes vs. Villains battles. Once a round is won, you will have to pick another pair of characters for the next round.
Starfighter Custom Arcade-
This is something I’ve been waiting for, as Starfighter Assault is coming to Arcade mode, where you can practice your piloting skills in ships from any era.
While we still have to wait for the really big stuff from the new Han Solo season until June, I am really looking forward to playing in Jabba’s palace again in Star Wars Battlefront II, as well Starfighter Assault in Arcade, which should make the wait for the “Solo: A Star Wars Story” content go that much quicker.
