Some more Episode IX casting news has come out today, and this is definitely a cool one, as The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Billy Dee Williams will indeed be back to play Lando again in Episode IX!
There have been some rumblings over the last couple of weeks about Billy Dee Williams possibly returning to play Lando, and now it appears that will be case, as The Hollywood Reporter’s sources confirmed to them that he will be back for Episode IX.
While I can’t say I’m too surprised by Billy Dee Williams coming back to play Lando in Episode IX, it is definitely a welcomed bit of news, as it just wouldn’t have felt right if we did not see Lando again in the entire sequel trilogy. It will also be fun to speculate what role he will play in the film, and just what he has been up to during the time of “The Force Awakens” and “The Last Jedi.”
Episode IX is expected to begin production very soon, so stay tuned as more information about the cast gets revealed!
