The second bit of casting news for “The Mandalorian” has come out today, which is that former MMA fighter and actress Gina Carano (“Deadpool,” “Fast & Furious 6”) has been cast in a role for the upcoming live-action series for Disney+.
This report comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who doesn’t have any details about the role Gina Carano will be playing, but says that she has joined actor Pedro Pascal, who was announced yesterday, in staring in “The Mandalorian.”
I’ve only seen Gina Carano in “Deadpool,” where I thought she did a good job in the villain and action role she had in that movie, and with her MMA background, it makes you think that she will be seeing plenty of action sequences in “The Mandalorian.”
We’ll see if get any more casting news for “The Mandalorian” tomorrow, but the series looks to be shaping up nicely.
